The Managers Xtatic, Hamilton, NZ, 14/5/99
From Auckland, The Managers are a 7 piece ska band who have been around for quite a few years now, and tonight play an outrageously good set to a packed house in Hamilton. Tonights gig seems to have attracted a more diverse crowd than usual - from middle-aged business men in suits skanking up a storm, hardcore ska fans in traditonal two-tone dress, to younger fans of 'new school' ska getting a dose of the real thing courtesy of The Managers, who put on one of the best shows I've seen all year. 'The Infiltrator' and their cover of 'It's Up To You' were my personal favourites, but overall, every song they did was infectious and delivered with total energy and enthusiasm. Brilliant!
